Lobel has also done play-by-play work, calling the Boston Marathon, Boston Celtics games, Boston College Eagles football games, New England Patriots preseason games, and NFL games for NBC in 1985.

Prior to the podcast, using his distinctive interviewing style, Bob interviewed and produced “unplugged” conversations with some of New England’s biggest sports heroes for the broadcast show "Legends with Bob Lobel." Legends from the Bruins, Patriots, Celtics, Red Sox and college sports sat down with Lobel in unique locations and told behind-the-scenes stories never heard before.
